  Ganesh Temple & Baniyan Tree

Just 10 minutes drive from Astha Nature's Home. Ganesh Temple is located at  the South of Abhayapuri town. Established in around 10th century A.D., the temple is a place of great historical importance which displays finest sculpture and rich architecture in addition to its own religious heritage.

 

Legend says that the infamous "Kalapahar", the army chief of Gaur Kingdom destroyed this temple during the 16th century A.D. Any visitor can also find a 200 years old Banyan Tree in Khora Gaon which is a natural wonder as well as of biological importance.    
     
         
         
     
  Mahamaya Temple
Just one and half hour drive from Astha Nature's Home, one can pay homage to Goddess Mahamaya, in the famous temple of historical importance and spend a while in the tranquil atmosphere of the surrounding hilly terrain.
  Bishnupur & Garasia Satra
Near the Tamranga Beel one can also visit the Bishnupur Satra and Garasia Satra established by the famous legendary  saint Srimanta Shankardev.

 
     
 

Sri Surya Pahar

Located about 12 km southeast of Goalpara town and about 2 hours drive from Astha Nature's Home, is a significant archaeological site in Assam, India. The site is centered on the hills (Pahar) of Sri Surya which is profusely filled up with Shiva Lingas (Lingam).The popular belief is that 99999 Shiva Lingas were engraved here by Vyasa in order to build up a second Kashi (where there were one more Shiva Lingas).

 

  Bamungaon Picnic & Trakking Spot
The green hillocks of Bamungaon is a dream destination for amateur naturalist and bird watchers. The beautiful picnic spot co-managed by community and forest department is a demonstration site of participatory conservation tool. The visitors can find some of the important species of flora and fauna viz. Golden Langur, Leopard, Barking Deer, Python, Red-Jungle fowl, Open billed stork etc. and rare plants like Roulfia sarpentina.
 
     
  Sahasra Linga : Mahadev Pahar
Situated at Mahadev Pahar it is just half an hour drive from Astha Nature's Home. Mahadev Pahar is named from the temple Mahadev Mandir. Government has constructed staircase aiming to facilitate its visitors' movement.

A place of great  historical importance, Gauripur is just two hours drive from Astha Nature's Home.
